Long Beach Comic Con 2010

In between his working with the dynamic duo of Tim Bradstreet and Thomas Jane, Mike Hess has been hard at work developing a highly sophisticated and philosophical graphic novel: Shattered Empires.

It has become a culmination of his philosophical and ideological journey. As he was developing a specific approach to online gaming, he began to play with the ideas of using karma to represent players' behavior. Additionally, he incorporated a color wheel he created that measures ethical and moral values using a horizontal and vertical graph.

Mike strives to maintain a pan-asian cultural world view in his graphic novel; and, when combining his philosophical approach with the strong characters, powerful story lines, and vivid imagery that is found in Shattered Empires, it is sure to be a hit!

Listen in to the IN show interview and then go visit Mike Hess' site at ShatteredEmpired.com.
