The 40th Student Academy Awards is always a bright spot on the Academy's calendar! It not only gives students the opportunity to share their
works in a grand scale; but, it also affords them awards, recognition, opportunities and more. In fact, many of the student
participants and winners go on to rewarding careers in both Hollywood and the entertainment industry.

Once again, the Academy proved its commitment to celebrating, honoring, and extolling cinematic treasures. Special guests in attendance for this once-in-a-lifetime-event were
co-stars John Saxon and Bob Wall, producers Paul Heller and Fred Weintraub, cinematographer Gil Hubbs, composer Lalo Schifrin and Shannon Lee, daughter of Bruce Lee.

Jerry Lewis!
Throughout the course of the evening, The Academy featured some of Lewis' career highlights as he commented with his ever sharp wit and humor, proving he still has "it!"
The audience was treated to such as fair as: scenes from his comedic works with his former entertaining partner, the Legendary Dean Martin;

the amazing and cutting-edge work he created with ingenuity and fervor after his contracts ended with the Studios. In fact, many of his influences can... read more...
