Calvin B. Streets
visits with The "IN" Show.

Hollywood, CA - Calvin B. Streets, [aka] "The Brooklyn Bluesman," has been singing his soulful blues from as far back as he can recall. He began playing at the age of 13 and experienced his watershed moment when he heard the inimitable Mose Allison.

As Calvin B. began his travels on the road of life, he found himself representing the essence of teen angst during the Punk Subculture Scene with the band, The Sinatras. The band was so hot that Frank Sinatra himself tried to sue them for the name! Known for "Teddy Crashes Blonde Dies," Calvin and the band recorded a punk rock vinyl in 1979 which is now available for the first time ever at raveuprecords.com .

As time went on, Calvin B.'s journey took him to many places but he never forgot his love for music; and as life would have it, he found himself in a new place and time which allowed him to pick up the guitar again.

Calvin B.'s poignant story finds its expression in The Blues. The Brooklyn Bluesman, like all good blues musicians, has been influenced by the likes of Fats Waller, Mose Allison, Willie Dixon and Doc Watson. He continues to make every effort to practice his trade (like studying under Eddie Pennington who is widely recognized to be one of the greatest living thumbstyle guitarists); and, by example, endeavors to pass on to another generation the truly unique American Art Form known as The Blues.

His style ranges from delta, ragtime, chicago and more; and, as one listens to his music, one finds The Brooklyn Bluesman captures the soul of each song. His nuances are reflected in each tune and the listener feels the emotion of the song. As Calvin B. strums and fingerpicks his way from beginning to end, one can't help but move to the rythmn, reflect on the moment, and utterly enjoy what is being played.

Calvin B. Streets [aka] The Brooklyn Bluesman is on a hot streak! Riding the wave of KongFest 2012, preparing for the soon to be released album "I'm Just Sayin'," and hitting the music circuit, Calvin B. is set to spread the news of that glorious sound called The Blues.

After you've taken the time to check out Calvin B.'s videos, be sure to spread the love and visit him on CD Baby, My Space, and FaceBook.
