Los Angeles, CA - Piece Fest 2012 From Executive Producer David Arquette, Producer DJ Lethal, and Co-Creators Kelly "RISK" Graval & Corin Nemec comes Piece Fest: a Music & Street Art Festival. Piece Fest will also be home to the Java Monster Graff-Battle which is to become TV's "The Chosen One."

Street Art has long been a form of expression for creative minds who for reasons of their own do not dwell in the realms of conventional, traditional, nor mainstream. Street Artists have been misunderstood for far too long. Their works have been relegated to those things labeled illegal, irrelevant and meaningless.

For the Street Artist, the world is their canvas! Expressive, raw, real, and always contemporary, the Street Artist's works convey everything from politics to emotion to self revelation; and, now, Street Artists are to be celebrated with the first festival to bring together Los Angeles' most talented street artists with its hottest bands to celebrate this artistic movement: Piece Fest!

The event will be held at The Graff Lab located at 1038 Venice Blvd., Los Angeles CA 90015.

The Graff Lab is an urban sanctuary for artists, kids, and young adults that opened in 2006, after the Los Angeles public school district cut its after-school art programs. World famous for its graffiti and aerosol art, the Graff Lab is dedicated to providing artists with a safe space to develop their skills. At the Graff Lab, artists don't have to worry about getting harassed by the police or by gangsters. They are free to concentrate on their craft.

But the Graff Lab is so much more than a public art space! The Graff Lab offers free tutoring, counseling, dance and music lessons to adults and kids. Piece Fest is looking to support this cause.

The Graff Lab is owned by the Pico Union Housing Corp. Founded in 1965, PUHC was created out of the need to address the neighborhood residents' ongoing social and economical struggles and since continues to provide facilities and social services to enrich their community. What better way to lend a hand to a valuable resource of the Los Angeles community than to merge Street Art and Music into a festival that celebrates the essence of what PUHC's The Graff Lab affords while raising funds for PUHC as well!

The excitement and pride about Piece Fest's mission is tangible. From radio interviews to pop-up events to tv shoots, David Arquette, Kelly "RISK" Graval and Corin Nemec are getting the word out and that passion is paying off!

They are now set to film the pilot for a competition show about Street Art featuring celebrity judges, hosts, & performers during Piece Fest. "The Chosen One" (show's working title) is a graffiti based competition show Executive Produced by David Arquette and co-created by Kelly "RISK" Graval & Corin Nemec.

"The Chosen One" is a Street Art competition that challenges two or more artists to incorporate a Major Commercial Brand in a mural using their specific style. The Brand's logo to be stylized at Piece Fest is none other than Java Monster and the two competitors battling will be OG Abel vs. Australia's the Massive! The Celebrity Panel of Judges line-up includes Luke "The Dingo" Tremabth representing the Monster brand, David Faustino, Seth "Shify" Binzer, Peter Mays (Executive Director of the Los Angeles Art Association), and Kelly "RISK" Graval. A special appearance will be made by Graffiti Artist Seen who will be interviewing both ogAbel and The Massive during the Battle for "The Chosen One."

With a Special Performance by Kev Hicks, other live performances, live streaming from the event by The IN Show, merchandising booths, food trucks, a public art wall, and an art gallery featuring World Renowned Graffiti Artists, Piece Fest is set to be an event to remember.
